Aspen, Colorado--It’s always been a fashion statement in Aspen to wear Italian eyewear
from PositanoPeopleŽ. The Italian shades were first a hit among European Snow Skiers
who say that wearing them is like the eclipsing the sun. “Wearing PositanoPeopleŽ
Sunglasses while snow skiing can protect you eyes from intense ultraviolet light.” says
designer Ciro De Gennaro. “The combination of high altitude and reflective glare off snow
results in about 300 percent more ultraviolet radiation than at sea level.”
PositanoPeopleŽ Sunglasses can protect you eyes from intense ultraviolet light in snow
covered areas and high altitudes, where there is less atmosphere to absorb the ultraviolet
rays. In terms of potential eye damage, snow skiing along with excessive sun exposure can
contribute substantially to the development of cataract and age-related macular
degeneration wearing a pair of designer sunglasses may help reduce the risk of cataracts.
On the ski slopes children need the same eye protection as adults. Experts recommend
wearing sunglasses whenever you are outdoors.
If you can’t get to the slopes often enough PositanoPeopleŽ has also developed fashion
computer eyewear for those working in front of their computer video display terminal.
PositanoPeopleŽ computer eyewear prevents eye fatigue and completely blocks harmful
ultraviolet rays and electromagnetic rays. PositanoPeopleŽ computer eyewear not only
protect the eyes but look cool and as additional benefit they allow the user to work more
comfortably for longer periods of time at the computer reducing screen glare and allowing
normal color perception. If you can’t turn your ski trip dream into reality
PositanoPeopleŽ computer eyewear is great for watching hours of that interactive skiing
video on CD-ROM. Get off the ski trail and check out PositanoPeopleŽ sunglasses today

“Experience The Extreme”
Let Snowshack.com’s Hot New Ski and Snowboarding Videos/DVDs
Keep You On the Edge As You Yearn for the Slopes
DATELINE: DOVER, MA, ISSUED September 23, 2002…Get the adrenaline pumping and hit the slopes on a virtual thrill ride with SnowShack’s extreme skiing and snowboarding videos and DVDs, guaranteed to tide you over until snow time. SnowShack’s co-founder and resident film critic, David Laidman, is busy reviewing the latest releases and loading www.snowshack.com with the season’s best hits, expanding SnowShack’s already extensive line of ski and snowboarding videos and DVDs. Extreme Skiing, new school, snowboarding – “SnowShack has it all, in keeping with our goal of being THE definitive source for all snow sports accessories on the web” notes SnowShack co-founder George Hall.
Riding High
The latest statistics from the National Ski Areas Association (NSSA) point to the continued growth of snowboarding, reflecting more diverse rider profiles as more traditional alpine skiers cross over and participate full-time or part-time in snowboarding. Despite post 9/11 travel safety jitters and the slowing economy, snowboarder visits to ski areas increased by 5.3% during the 2001 –2002 season.
Always on the cutting edge of industry trends, SnowShack’s Hall and Laidman, both passionate skiers themselves, have tailored SnowShack’s’ supply of video’s and DVD’s to include thrills for all, from the younger snowboarding audience, to fans of extreme skiing or traditional alpine. Hall is personally kept abreast of what’s hot and what’s not by his 16-year-old freestyler stepson, Gardiner Bowen.
Boarders are in for a real treat with films made by boarders for boarders from Kingpin Productions, Standard Films, Straight Jacket, and more. Some cool releases include Kingpin’s Brainstorm, a snowboard movie unlike all other snowboarding movies, or Optigrab TB 10 from Standard, featuring the best riders in the world captured on screen by veterans with countless years of snowboarding film experience. Straight Jacket’s Unleashed, lets loose with never before seen feats including a loop, 20' channel gap and a 60' roller coaster rail!
SnowShack will keep boarders busy till snow season with the addition of a full complement of snowboard videos, including picks from last year bundled with new titles such as Happy Hour from Kingpin, Standard’s Notice to Appear, and The Road to Madness from Straight Jacket.
The Masters’ Monster Hits
SnowShack’s ultimate lineup includes all the major producers. Warren Miller, the legendary godfather of the ski film industry, is back on tap with Cold Fusion, featuring the fusion of new and old: two world record breaking stunts along with footage of the world’s most breathtaking resorts and remote locations. Pro-mogul skier Johnny DeCesare and his crew of “Degenerates” burst back on the scene with Happy Days from Poor Boyz Productions, regaling the imagery of new school skiing.
Matchstick Productions are over the top with three new MSP releases. Five of skiing’s premiere athletes lead the way in Immersion, capturing the soul and spirit of skiing. Ski Movie III, The Front Line brings back the undisputed ski movie champions of the world reporting from British Colombia, Norway, Alaska, California and Colorado. View the anguish and glory behind the persona of Seth Morrison, one of the most important skier’s of the nineties, leaping onto the screen in The Seth Morrison Chronicles.
Teton Grand Research weighs in first with The Prophecy, a glimpse into the future of riding, changing forever the face of the freestyle game. Be witness to the tightest in jib style and culture in TGR’s Salad Days where skiing’s new generation flaunts their heyday of indiscretion and delinquency.
Back To The Classics
Snowshack hasn’t forgotten fans of the classics either! Greg Stump’s Blizzard of Ahhhs, or SnowShack’s Greg Stump Classic three pack including Gonzo'd To Extremes, Scot Schmidt's Steep Techniques and the ultra-classic Maltese Flamingo and more are all available at SnowShack. For a great deal, Snowshack is offering three of Teton Gravity Research's classic videos (Harvest, Uprising, and Continuum) at 2/3 off!
Ski History buffs are also in for a treat at Snowshack where they’ll find both The Greatest Snow on Earth: Utah's Skiing Story, a history of skiing in Utah from the early mining days to the Olympics, and Thrills and Spills, a ski video capturing the spirit of New England skiing and snowboarding from the 1940's on.
